There are foods that are good for the bones; there are also foods that can reduce bone health. If consumed in excess, these foods can dissolve the bone mineral and inhibit the ability of bone to grow back.
Here are four foods that have the greatest potential bone damage if consumed in excess
Salt
Nutrition experts say, every 2,300 milligrams of sodium you consume, it can erode the body of 40 milligrams of calcium. One study also compared the post-menopausal women who eat a high-salt diet with those who did not, and the results are those who eat lots of salt lost more bone mineral.
Soft Drink

Sweet Foods
"Excess sugar can inhibit the absorption of calcium and phosphorus eroded," said Shawn Smith, RD, LDN, director of the program on elderly services in Massachusetts. Instead, if you are very fond of eating sweet foods, you can eat fruits and avoid processed foods. Fruits are richer in calcium and antioxidants can be good for improving your endurance against disease.
So, keep your bone health by consuming a variety of healthy foods and limit your consumption of foods and beverages that can weaken and reduce your bone health.
