A recent study from the University of Wisconsin-Madison said
that a colleague is able to help make a happier employee.
According to researchers, altruism - prioritizing the nature
of the interests of others - also makes a person more committed to their work
and a little risky to resign from the company.
"There have been many positive effects of altruism. One
of these studies, simple, help others to make us happy," said Donald
Moynihan.
As reported by the Huffington Post, the study uses a
long-term research data linking between helping behavior and employee
happiness. A total of 10,000 respondents involved in the study.
Researchers then found that most of the employees who have
the attitude of altruism claimed more satisfied with life.
Meanwhile, it has been many other studies that discuss the
importance of friendship in the workplace. It seemed to prove that strong
social support can improve employee productivity and makes them more eager to
work.
