Marriage is the eagerly anticipated by both men and women.
In addition to career, marriage is also regarded as the achievement of life by
many people. But a study suggests that delaying marriage may be beneficial for
women.
Researchers from the University of Virginia conducted a study
in which educated women marry at the age of 30. They found that most women who
get married at that age have 56 percent more income than women who married at
the age of 20.
Instead, the man who first married at age of 20 it is known
to have a greater income than those who were married at the age of 30,
regardless of their education level.
Currently, researchers found a trend of delaying marriage in
the community. In 1990, the average age of marriage is 23 years for females and
26 years for men. While the current average age of marriage is 27 years for
females and 29 years for men.
While women are delaying marriage appears to benefit from
the decision, men who marry early are even more likely to succeed. Researchers
consider the child's birth affects it.
Female university graduates who married at age of 20 usually
have children soon so they had to let go of their careers and no longer able to
achieve success in a career, as reported by the Daily Mail (20/03).
While men who marry younger would have a better career rise.
Most likely because married men are more confident than those who are not
married. This will impact on their productivity.
Still, not all women are delaying marriage likely success.
Researchers found that this does not apply to women who drop out of school or
college graduation. They found that 83 percent of American babies born to
unmarried mothers.
This study also shows that delaying marriage took part in
decreasing the amount of divorces since 1980. Couples who get married at age of
20 are usually more likely to divorce than couples who married at older ages.
