Interactive mobile applications on the issue of breast
cancer to the people of Indonesia are now available as a mobile application
'Spot It Yourself'. This application is launched by the Indonesian Cancer
Foundation (ICF) in cooperation with PT. Philips Indonesia ICF office in
Jakarta on Wednesday.
"'Spot It Yourself' provides a self breast check and
information about breast cancer, including who to contact for more
information," said Chairman of the Indonesian Cancer Foundation (ICF),
Prof. Dr. Nila Moeloek, SpM (K), at the press launch of this application.
"Spot It Yourself" can be downloaded at "spotityourself" for Android and Blackberry devices (touch screen
version only). As for the mobile operating system, iOS (Apple) will soon be
available for download in December.
The idea of making this application comes from personal
experience, one of the winners of the category The Project + Access to
Healthcare, Rina Susanti.
"The idea came from my experience of breast tumors, I
was confused and did not know what to look for reliable information on
where," Rina said during a press conference took place.
Mobile applications are not only equipped with the necessary
information regarding breast cancer. However, this application also provides
facilities such as a forum for users of the application you want to share
information about breast cancer.
