Stress that as long as you think it can only occur in adults can now be experienced by children and even toddlers. It was delivered by psychologist Ruth Abraham in a discussion about social change and its impact on children of Indonesia, in Jakarta on Tuesday.

"Based on the records of Personal Growth, found that four out of five children who come to consult, showing indications of severe stress," said Ruth. According to Ruth, the stress that occurs in children is a part of children's rights violations, stemming from the loss of communication with the child's parents. That coupled with the dense activity of today's modern child that makes them lose playing time, as well as their association with problem peers.

Do not underestimate Stress in Children

On the same occasion the Chairman of the National Commission for Child Protection (KNPA), Arist Merdeka Sirait the data revealed that during the year 2011, KNPA noted child rights violation cases increased 98 percent over the previous year, or there are 2386 cases.

"Do not underestimate this, it is recorded as many as five children under 10 years of trying to do the trials committed suicide due to stress," Arist said, adding that the two of them died.

According to Ruth, the signs of stress in children can be seen physically, emotionally, psychologically and socially. "They become cranky, irritable, angry, lost interest, confidence faded, anxious, moody, and some even withdraw from the association," said Ruth.

Such conditions are often interpreted as a form of parental defiance, 'began acting up' or inferior; so that even parents force children to socialize and flooded with a lot more stressful activities. Therefore, if you find such a condition on the child, you should first look for the cause with a warm and friendly approach.
