A study found that, under exposure to sunlight, chickenpox infection can be inhibited. Chicken pox is a disease that is quite feared by everyone. If not treated right, chickenpox disease can lead to death. But escape from the fatal disease, chicken pox can also cause permanent scars, of course, interfere with performance.
Children are more susceptible to chicken pox, because the school and their play environments that can not be fully maintained properly. But there is another determinant of the presence of the chicken pox, the level of sun exposure in an area.
The research was conducted by the St. George's, University of London which is inspired by the ability of UV light to inactive virus. In addition, chickenpox disease is relatively more difficult to spread in tropical than temperate regions. Therefore, Dr. Phil Rice, a virus, has alleged that UV rays can to inactive varicella-zoster virus in the skin before it is transmitted to others.
The result is the case, the disease is less contagious chicken pox in places exposed to UV rays more frequently and for longer. As we know, the sun is emitting UV rays are very strong and boundless, so that places can sunbathe certainly more protected from measles infection.
This also explains why the disease tends to infecting many humans in the rainy season, where the sun rarely shines. Dr. Rice analyzed data from 25 studies on the pattern of spread of varicella-zoster virus in tropical regions and temperate climates around the world, then compare the data obtained with climatic factors.
Through publication in the Virology Journal, confirmed that the UV rays are the only factors that fit the pattern of spread of infection in the countries studied. So, make sure the home and neighborhood you are getting enough sunlight to prevent formation of virus attacks, including this one.
