Apparently there is an easy way to eliminate snoring problems while sleeping, just by wearing stockings. If you frequently snore, try using a high stocking tight all day, because as quoted from Dailymail. The researchers found that it could prevent snoring and sleep disorder problems in times of night.
Recent research conducted at the University of Brescia Italy, found that the use of tight long stockings, to prevent deep-vein thrombosis (DVT) on a passenger airplane that can regulate blood flow through the legs. It also helps people who suffer from sleep disturbance problems, especially those who frequently snore and have difficulty breathing during sleep.
The researchers found that patients who use tight long stockings for a week could prevent a third of sleep problems they experience. "We found that the pressure stockings may reduce the accumulation of fluid in the legs during the day, which will reduce the amount of fluid that flows into the neck at night. It reduces the number of apnea of up to one third," said Dr. Stefania Redolfi leader of the research.
People who have obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is often times awake at night. That would trigger a problem during the day, like you can not sleep. In OSA, weakened muscles in the airway during sleep that cause them to stop breathing for at least ten seconds before signaling the brain causes the muscle contraction to reopen the air pathway.
In that study, the researchers studied 12 patients with 12 vascular problems that cause a buildup of blood at the foot of the bottom during the day, which triggers sleep problems because of the impact of the movement of fluid into the neck at night.
Patients were then asked to wear a stocking at the time they wake up in the morning until they went to sleep for a week. In the next week the patient was observed without the use of stockings. The results showed that 62 percent reduction in leg fluid volume turned all night and about 36 per cent reduction in the number of apnea per hour of sleep time. These findings have been published in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine.
If you have a snoring problem, there's no harm in trying stockings as a solution to sleep more soundly. Good luck!
